Terms of Service
The terms governing your use of Lumavia Health.
The service
Lumavia Health is an educational exercise and wellbeing content service created by physiotherapists. It is not a healthcare service, does not provide medical care or individualised physiotherapy, and is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Using the platform does not create a therapist–patient relationship between you and Lumavia Health.
Eligibility
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. If you have a pre-existing health condition — including heart, respiratory or neurological problems, recent surgery or a recent fracture, pregnancy, or any condition that may limit physical exercise — consult a health professional before using the service. The safety questionnaire shown at registration is not a substitute for a clinical assessment.
Subscriptions and billing
Lumavia Health offers renewing subscriptions (monthly or annual) and one-time access passes of fixed duration, paid through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices shown at the time of purchase include VAT at the applicable legal rate. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. New accounts get a free 3-day trial, with no card required, giving access to a sample of the catalogue. Cancellation and refund conditions are described on the Refunds and cancellation page.
Acceptable use
Your account is personal and non-transferable and is intended for individual, non-commercial use. You may not share credentials, download, copy, record, redistribute or publicly display the videos, texts and other platform content, nor use them to create competing products or services. All content is the intellectual property of Lumavia Health or its licensors. Abusive use — including automated content extraction, reverse engineering or attempts to circumvent technical protections — may lead to suspension or termination of the account.
Medical disclaimer
Lumavia Health content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for assessment, diagnosis or care by a doctor or physiotherapist. Never ignore or delay seeking professional advice because of something you have read or seen on the platform. Stop exercising immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or worsening symptoms, and seek medical help. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the European Union).
Limitation of liability
Physical exercise carries inherent risks. By using the service you voluntarily assume those risks to the extent permitted by law, and you acknowledge that results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Nothing in this section excludes or limits Lumavia Health's liability for damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any rights you have under consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the service, in the law, or other legitimate circumstances. If a change is material, we give you reasonable advance notice — by email or through a notice on the platform — before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the service; continuing to use it after the change takes effect means you accept the updated version. The current version is always available on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside. In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to the competent courts or to a certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity — the list of authorised entities is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt). The Portuguese electronic complaints book is also available at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
